Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 September 2026

Welcome to Home & Sprout. These Terms of Service explain the terms that apply when you browse our website or purchase products from us.

By placing an order with Home & Sprout, you agree to these terms. We recommend reading them alongside our Shipping & Returns and Privacy Policy.

1. About Home & Sprout

Home & Sprout is the trading name of Alexander Breedon, a UK sole trader.

Home & Sprout is operated by:

Home and Sprout
Trading as: Home & Sprout
Business address: 5 Nightingale Close, Ashover S45 0DN, United Kingdom
Email: hello@homeandsprout.store

Home & Sprout is an independent children's lifestyle store offering a carefully selected collection of toys, play products, children's furniture and accessories from trusted European brands and makers.

Many of our products are fulfilled directly by our European brand and manufacturing partners. This allows us to offer a considered collection of beautifully made products without holding every item in our own warehouse.

2. Our Products

We take care to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, colours, dimensions and other information on our website are as accurate as reasonably possible.

However, colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen or device, and handmade or natural products may have small variations that make each piece unique.

Where a product is handmade, small variations in appearance, texture or dimensions should not necessarily be considered defects.

We reserve the right to correct genuine errors in product descriptions, pricing or availability. If an error affects an order you have placed, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.

3. Product Safety

The safety and quality of the products we choose are extremely important to us.

We work with established European brands and suppliers and select products based on their design, materials and suitability for children.

Where applicable, products are manufactured and certified in accordance with relevant UK and/or European safety requirements.

Customers should always follow the manufacturer's age recommendations, safety instructions and care guidance supplied with the product.

Children should be supervised when using products where supervision is recommended by the manufacturer.

4. Prices

All prices displayed on our website are in pounds sterling (£).

The price payable for a product is the price displayed at the time you place your order, unless there is an obvious pricing error.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders that we have already accepted.

5. Placing an Order

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your order.

After placing your order, you will receive an order confirmation by email.

Your order will be accepted when we send confirmation that your order has been accepted for fulfilment.

If we are unable to accept your order, for example because a product is unavailable or there is an obvious pricing error, we will contact you and refund any payment you have made for the affected order.

6. Payment

Payment is taken through the payment methods available at checkout.

By placing an order, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.

We do not store your full payment card details. Payments are processed through our approved payment providers.

7. Delivery

We offer free UK delivery on all Home & Sprout orders.

Many Home & Sprout products are shipped directly from our European brand partners and fulfilment locations.

As we work with carefully selected European manufacturers and brands, rather than holding every product in a UK warehouse, delivery can generally take 4–10 business days.

This approach allows us to offer a carefully considered range of products from European makers and brands while maintaining our focus on quality and design.

Some orders containing products from different brands may arrive in separate deliveries.

Further information about delivery can be found on our Shipping & Returns page.

We will keep you informed of your order's progress and provide tracking information where available.

8. Delays and Delivery Problems

While we work hard to ensure orders arrive within the estimated delivery timeframe, delivery dates are estimates rather than guarantees unless expressly agreed otherwise.

If your order has not arrived within the expected timeframe, please contact us and we will investigate this with our fulfilment partner or delivery provider.

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights relating to delivery.

9. Returns and Refunds

We want you to be happy with your purchase.

Our returns process is explained in full in our Shipping & Returns policy.

If you change your mind about a purchase made online, you may have a statutory right to cancel your order within the applicable cancellation period under UK consumer law.

Where applicable, this right normally allows you to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods, followed by a further 14 days to return them.

Certain products may be excluded from cancellation rights where permitted by law, including certain personalised or made-to-order products.

Nothing in our returns policy or these Terms of Service is intended to remove or reduce any statutory consumer rights that apply to you.

For full information about how to request a return, please see our Shipping & Returns page.

10. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your product arrives damaged, faulty or different from the product you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible.

Please provide your order number and, where appropriate, photographs of the product and its packaging so that we can investigate the issue and arrange an appropriate resolution.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

We will not ask you to waive rights that you have under applicable consumer law.

11. Exchanges

If you would like to exchange a product, please contact us before returning it.

Depending on the product and fulfilment arrangements, an exchange may be handled as a return followed by a new order.

Further information is available in our Shipping & Returns policy.

12. Availability

We aim to keep product availability information accurate.

Because some products are fulfilled directly by European brands and manufacturers, availability can occasionally change between the time an order is placed and the time it is processed.

If an item becomes unavailable after you have placed an order, we will contact you and provide an appropriate solution, including a refund where necessary.

13. Intellectual Property

All content on the Home & Sprout website, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, branding and design elements, belongs to Home & Sprout or is used with permission from the relevant brand or supplier.

You may not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute or commercially use our website content without our written permission.

Product names, logos and brand materials belonging to third-party manufacturers remain the property of their respective owners.

14. Website Use

You agree to use the Home & Sprout website lawfully and responsibly.

You must not:

  • use the website for fraudulent or unlawful purposes;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems;
  • interfere with the operation or security of the website;
  • copy or reproduce website content without permission; or
  • knowingly introduce malicious software or harmful material.

We may restrict or suspend access to the website where reasonably necessary to protect our business, customers or website.

15. Third-Party Brands and Suppliers

Home & Sprout works with selected European brands, manufacturers and fulfilment partners.

The products sold through our website remain subject to the manufacturer's product specifications, instructions and applicable warranties or guarantees.

Where a product is fulfilled directly by a European partner, this does not affect your statutory rights or the fact that your purchase contract is with Home & Sprout.

16. Our Liability

Nothing in these Terms of Service limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

In particular, nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights relating to the quality, safety or description of goods.

We will not be responsible for losses that could not reasonably have been anticipated at the time your contract was formed, subject always to your rights under applicable law.

17. Events Outside Our Control

Sometimes circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect our ability to fulfil an order, including significant transport disruption, natural disasters, industrial action, government restrictions or other events beyond our reasonable control.

Where such an event affects your order, we will communicate with you and take reasonable steps to minimise any disruption.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.

18. Privacy

We collect and use personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By placing an order, you acknowledge that your information will need to be processed to fulfil your purchase, arrange delivery, provide customer support and meet our legal obligations.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes to our business, products, services or legal requirements.

The terms that apply to your order will be the terms that were available at the time you placed your order.

20. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, you will also retain any mandatory rights and protections available to you under the laws that apply to you.

21. Contact Us
